Physician Spotlight – With Legislative Advocacy Day coming up next week, we’d like to recognize Dr. David Aizuss for his leadership and continued support for organized medicine. We’d also like to say congratulations as Dr. Aizuss was recently named to the American Medical Association Council on Legislation.  He is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing in Los Angeles, LACMA member for 30 years and currently serves as the chair of the California Medical Association Board of Trustees.

LACMA CEO, Gustavo Friederichsen has worked closely with Dr. Aizuss since joining the organization. He shared, “Dr. Aizuss is one of the doctors I know I can turn to for a thoughtful, considered look at the issues in our organization and in healthcare here in LA and across the nation. He’s generous with his insight and experience and a steady support for LACMA and its doctors. I appreciate all he brings to the table.”

We were lucky to have Dr. Aizuss participate in our Thought Leader Roundtable earlier this year. He shared why LACMA and organized medicine are important to him.

“My personal goal as a leader of the medical associations is to ensure that our physicians want to participate in these organizations because we’re going to do something for them that they can’t get anywhere else.”

Congratulations Dr. Aizuss on your appointment with the AMA and we look forward to updates on the perspective on healthcare that this role will afford you. To hear more of what Dr. Aizuss shared at the Roundtable, click here or check out the video below.
