The Conversation Begins Around Groundbreaking Ways to Combat Physician Burnout

This promises to be a busy week as LACMA hosts two days of unprecedented meetings with 14 area chief medical officers to discuss physician burnout. CMA CEO, Dustin Corcoran, will join us for candid conversations and share a groundbreaking way to address and solve the problem plaguing the profession. We will start with USC Keck School of Medicine physician leadership, later meet with AltaMed Health Services executives and conclude day two with a meeting with 11 additional CMOs. I will share results and next steps. If any member would like to learn more or participate in this conversation, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

SoFi Doubling Rate Discount for Members

Earlier this year, the California Medical Association (CMA) and SoFi launched a new member benefit that will help physicians save thousands on their student loans. Sofi offers CMA members student loan refinancing options that include low-variable and fixed rates with terms ranging from five to 20 years.

For a limited time, SoFi is offering members a special double rate discount.

From now until December 20, 2018, you’ll pay 0.5 percent less in interest when you refinance. Market interest rates are on the rise, so check to see what you can save today. Residents can refinance as well and pay as little as $100/month through the end of your residency.

If you have questions about SoFi student loan refinancing, please click here or contact SoFi directly at ask@sofi.com or (855) 456-7634.

New Partnership Programs

And speaking of expanding our portfolio for members, partners and prospective partners, we are in active negotiations with Silversheet which provides a cloud-based credentialing solution for hospitals, health systems and groups.  Click here for information on Silversheet.

Another current partner, Paragon Private Health, now offers a unique physician-to-physician referral program. Paragon offers concierge practice know-how and smarter, more effective and efficient ways to thrive in private practice.  Click here to learn more about Paragon’s referral program.

I hope members continue to push us to find viable, relevant partners to help physicians in private practice to any setting in the industry.  Our goal is to offer a full spectrum of services, products and support based on member feedback.
