Member Spotlight: Dr. Peter Richman

This week we’re highlighting Dr. Peter Richman. Dr. Richman is a LACMA Past President and actively serves in many facets of both LACMA and CMA, including the LACMA Executive Committee. Recently, his leadership has extended to the Disaster Healthcare Volunteer – Surge Unit. He’s been instrumental in bringing together the Surge Unit committee and developing training materials. Dr. Richman is a General Surgeon within the Facey Medical Group.

LACMA CEO, Gustavo Friederichsen said, “Dr. Richman is well-respected within his specialty and as a leader among his peers. We are grateful for his consistent support and participation at LACMA. He’s a trusted advisor and his dedication to organized medicine has inspired many.”

Dr. Richman received his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine, where he was awarded the CIBA Award for Outstanding Community Service. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Los Angeles County Harbor UCLA Medical Center and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.

In 2012, Dr. Richman received the Top Doctor Award from Castle Connelly, a healthcare research and information company identifying excellent doctors in regions throughout the nation.

Dr. Richman also serves on the Community Board of Directors for Facey Medical Foundation and Providence Health Services. He is also a Trustee of the California Medical Association.
