Member Spotlight: Arash Ari Nowain, MD
As a Los Angeles native, Dr. Arash Ari Nowain is thrilled to practice where he grew up. He earned his medical degree from USC’s Keck School of Medicine, where he received the Clinical Medicine Scholarship. After graduation, he completed three years of residency training in Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County/ USC General Hospital, earning the Resident of the Year award each year. Post-residency, he completed three years of fellowship training in the Department of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Nowain is the recipient of various clinical recognitions, including the Top Doctors and the Patient’s Choice awards.
Dr. Nowain is double board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, specializing in disorders of the digestive system and gastrointestinal diseases that affect the digestive system. In his private practice, Dr. Nowain specializes in medical disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and hemorrhoids. He also performs an array of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques including upper endoscopy (EGD) and lower endoscopy (colonoscopy). He treats acute and chronic GI problems and also focuses heavily on prevention of diseases such as colon and esophageal cancer.
He and his office staff strive to provide a comfortable and friendly medical office environment to meet the needs of their patients. In addition to La Peer, Dr. Nowain has staff privileges at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and other local hospitals in Los Angeles and maintains teaching privileges at the Keck USC School of Medicine.
