LACMA is driven by a mission to advocate for quality healthcare and serve the professional needs of our members. Our success relies on achieving our mission-related goals and ensuring our members have the resources they need to maintain the sacrosanct physician-patient relationship.

Good governance and leadership provides the vision and direction to execute on LACMA’s mission. The responsibility for governing LACMA rests with our physician-led board of directors, operating according to a set of bylaws and working in close collaboration with LACMA’s CEO to set strategic direction, provide necessary resources, and make key decisions to exceed member expectations.

LACMA also has many other physician-led committees, local boards, groups, and task forces to address the needs of physicians and their patients and help ensure members of our local communities have access to quality care.

LACMA is an association founded by physicians, for physicians. All physician members can trust that their best interests are being represented by a strong and trustworthy network of physician leaders who represent a diverse range of specialties, geographies, and modes of practice.
